Despite we are talking about one of the oldest models in the segment of electric cars, the Model S is still the leader in many aspects, including an unparalleled range. Of course, this car is much more than that, as it offers amazing acceleration and overall performances, as well as an impressive level of luxury. However, it looks like the 2021 Tesla Model S is about to come with notable updates. According to the latest reports, we are about to big changes in terms of drivetrain and the new version is expected to feature even longer range and better performances. Moreover, we will also see some changes on the inside. This will be a pretty exciting year for the Model S.

2021 Tesla Model S Drivetrain
At this point, one of the biggest novelty we know it’s about to come for the next year is a new three-motor version. We still don’t know the exact numbers, but there is no doubt that performances will be astonishing. Simply, the current dual-motor is already really impressive in this aspect. Certain versions can go from zero to sixty easily under three seconds, while all models are generally pretty fast.
Besides impressive acceleration, this large sedan is also characterized by an impressive range. Depending on the drivetrain you choose, the range goes from 348 miles to impressive 390 miles on a single charging. It looks like things will be even more impressive in the next year, as the company promises more than 400 miles on a single charge. How Tesla is going to do this, it is still unknown. Of course, all drivers can enjoy free supercharging across the States. With a Tesla Supercharger, you can add 136 miles of range in 15 minutes. Of course, there is also the Tesla Wall Connector for your home, which charges around 35 miles of range per hour.

2021 Tesla Model S Redesign
Some reports even suggest we could see some styling changes for the next year. To be honest, the styling has never been a strong point of this full-size liftback. Of course, it hasn’t become any better after eight years of production. Therefore, we might see a couple of nice updates. Most likely, they will be visual. On the other side, the chassis setup will remain the same, which means you may count on standard air suspension. Despite these features, the Model S is still pretty stiff when it comes to riding quality, though it’s comfortable enough for a daily driver.
2021 Tesla Model S Interior
Interior changes are also possible for the next year. At this point, we know that the 2021 Tesla Model S will get a new infotainment system. Instead of the current, vertically-oriented, we will see a new, horizontally oriented unit. On the other side, we don’t know if the company is about to bring some other interior changes. Generally, the overall quality is pretty good. Hi-quality materials are all around the cabin, but you may count on typical Tesla issues, which mostly refer to things like fit and finish. Still, this is something that characterizes all Tesla models, so we probably won’t see any progress in this aspect for the next year.

Release Date and Price
Despite the expected updates, we don’t believe that the 2021 Tesla Model S will come much earlier in the next year. The price should remain pretty much the same as for the current model, which goes in a range from 80.000 to 100.000 dollars, roughly.
