In terms of base design characteristics, we definitely don’t expect to see any particular change. The new styling arrived with the Nautilus name, so we don’t expect changes either. Simply, the new look completely follows the brand’s latest design language, which was introduced with the new Lincoln Navigator. The styling relies on pretty classical design solutions, so there is no doubt it will remain good-looking for a couple of more years. Therefore, the next year shouldn’t bring any particular change, though there is a chance to see new color options.
Interior
This is the area where we could see a couple of novelties. First of all, various reports suggest updates in terms of the infotainment system. The current model comes with a relatively small touchscreen in the class, which measures 8-inches diagonally. Therefore, we might see something bigger, as well as updated software. Also, we could see some revisions on the dashboard. The current one looks good and the materials are fine. However, most rivals feel more opulent.
On the other side, the overall cabin layout will definitely remain the same. This is a pretty spacious and comfortable, which offers a plush ride and good sound insulation. Both rows offer plenty of legroom, while the front seats are massive and supportive. The cargo area offers pretty typical measurements for the class. Novelties in terms of standard equipment are always possible, so the 2021 Lincoln Nautilus will probably come with a couple of them. We’ve already mentioned a new touchscreen and infotainment system, while a couple of new tech goodies are possible as well. Still, don’t expect too much, as the current model already comes with a pretty long list of standard equipment.
The current model comes standard an 11-speaker audio system, satellite radio, Bluetooth, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, dual-zone climate control and more. The list of options is also pretty nice and some of these could become standard as well. Some of the potential novelties are things like navigation, a panoramic sunroof, a rear-seat entertainment system, a 13- or 19-speaker Revel audio system, HD Radio, wireless charging.
The same thing goes for safety features. The current model comes standard with goodies like a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking. Additionally, you can get surround-view parking camera system, front parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, parallel and perpendicular park assist.
2021 Lincoln Nautilus Engines
The current lineup consists of two engine options. Base models are equipped with a familiar 2.0-liter turbo-four, which is good for about 250 horsepower. That’s more than enough for convenient daily commuting. Those who are looking for a little bit better driving dynamics can opt for a 2.7-liter V6, which delivers pretty respectably 335 horsepower.
Some reports also suggest the possibility to see a new engine option, reserved for a hi-performance version. We presume that it would be a new 3.0-liter V6 unit.
2021 Lincoln Nautilus Release Date and Price
Despite the possible updates, the 2021 Lincoln Nautilus probably won’t hit the market much earlier than usual. We expect the launch will be scheduled for the last quarter of the year. The current model starts around 41.000 dollars and we don’t expect bigger changes for the next year.
