The next generation of the world’s most popular pickup truck is on the way and despite this pandemic outbreak, we want to wait for it for much more. The latest reports suggest that the 2021 Ford F-150 will hit the market this September and as we are talking about a class-leader, expectations are always big. The new model should improve in every aspect, while we are about to see some brand-new things as well, such as electrified powertrain.
First of all, the upcoming redesign won’t be as revolutionary as the previous one. We will rather see an evolution in this case, but with notable improvements in every aspect. The new model is about to offer a more comfortable ride, as well as improved towing capacity. New engine options are on the way as well, particularly n terms of electrification. Finally, an all-electric model should arrive in the near future as well.

2021 Ford F-150 Redesign
The upcoming redesign will certainly bring notable changes. Still, things won’t be as radical as they were with the previous redesign. In this case, we will see rather evolutionary changes. This makes perfect sense, considering that the previous redesign has brought a completely new approach, which includes a massive use of lightweight materials, mostly aluminum and HSS. The 2021 Ford F-150 will carry on with a similar approach, with further improvements. The next generation will be even lighter, but we are pretty sure that engineers of the Blue Oval company will focus on some other things this time. This particularly refers to comfort and convenience, as this is probably the only aspect where the current model isn’t a class leader.
Exterior Design
As you may presume, the upcoming redesign will bring loads of exterior changes. Of course, one of the first things that come to mind is the exterior design. First of all, the changes won’t be drastic. We count on the evolution of the current design language. The overall shape will certainly remain the same, while the biggest changes should come at the front. Of course, we will see a new face, which will utilize new headlights, grille, bumper and other parts.
The new styling will certainly make the new model look more appealing but on the other side, we don’t expect bigger changes in dimensions. The current model is already among the biggest trucks in the class, which comes with three cab layouts and different bed sizes.

Interior
Big changes are expected on the inside. Moreover, we are pretty sure that the company will put the focus on this aspect of the truck. Pickup trucks aren’t just working machines anymore. The new Ram 1500 has completely changed the game with the new cabin design, which is luxurious in every aspect. It looks opulent and features excellent materials. The 2021 Silverado is also about to come with a completely new cabin, and we also count on a lot of luxury.
Therefore, it’s not hard to conclude that the new 2021 Ford F-150 will come with a similar approach. We count on the massive use of soft-touch materials, particularly in higher trim levels. Of course, additions of the latest tech goodies are a certain thing. When it comes to the interior dimensions, we don’t expect more significant changes compared to the current model, which is already very generous in this aspect.
2021 Ford F-150 Engines
Most of the powertrain options from the current generation will carry on without bigger changes, but that doesn’t mean there is no room for novelties. Base models will once again come with a 3.3-liter V6 engine that delivers around 290 horsepower.
Of course, EcoBoost units are on the way as well. A smaller 2.7-liter unit is good for about 325 horsepower and it is one of the most popular choices among F-150 drivers, due to a great balance between power and efficiency. You may also count on a familiar 3.5-liter EcoBoost, which comes in two output variants, with either 375 or 450 horsepower.
In the last couple of months, there was a lot of talk about the V8 engine options but the latest reports suggest that the current 5.0-liter Coyote will remain in the offer. It currently delivers around 395 horsepower but we don’t know if there are modifications to come or not.
Finally, there is a familiar 3.0-liter turbodiesel with around 250 horsepower.
A big novelty for the next year will be a hybrid version, though the details are still unavailable. A plug-in hybrid is expected in the next couple of years as well. Finally, the all-electric model is coming next year.

2021 Ford F-150 Release Date and Price
According to the latest reports, the new 2021 Ford F-150 will hit the market in September. We presume that base models will go around 30.000 dollars.
