The all-new CT5 has been launched recently and so far, things look great. The new model looks amazing, it comes with loads of tech features and offers an amazing level of comfort. However, there was one thing that has been bothering Cadillac fans in the past months. Of course, we are talking about the powertrain. The standard model came with a new, pretty compact twin-turbo V6 engine, so experts were a little bit skeptical about the possible performance version. However, the great news is coming and the 2021 Cadillac CT5-V is about to hit the market by the end of the year. The new model has been spotted on testings, and it looks it will have a lot of interesting things to offer.

2021 Cadillac CT5-V Engine
Of course, one of the most interesting things about this model will be a new engine. The testing model has been spotted and also filmed. By the sound of the spy video, you can easily hear that it’s about a V8 engine. Moreover, it sounds pretty obvious that there is a supercharged engine under the hood, which leads us to the conclusion that the 6.2-liter unit is back.
We are talking about the same version that powers Camaro and Corvette, which is good for pretty impressive 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. More importantly, we are delighted to see that the new engine option will come in pair with a manual gearbox, which looks exactly the same as in Camaro. This makes perfect sense, as both models ride on a familiar GM Alpha platform.

2021 Cadillac CT5-V Exterior
When it comes to the exterior upgrades, we count on a lot of them. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is an upgraded suspension, as well as bigger brakes. Naturally, the 2021 Cadillac CT5-V will also come with a full load of changes that provide both more aggressive aesthetics and better performances. Of course, we are talking about things like new wheels with low-profile tires, new rear diffuser, new body kit and more. Also, you can clearly see at a new exhaust system, which comes blacked and in a quad-pipe configuration.
Interestingly, spy photographers didn’t manage to catch the new 2021 Cadillac CT5-V from the front, so we don’t know how the new face will look like. Still, we presume it will include a new grille, revised bumper and a couple of more upgrades.
2021 Cadillac CT5-V Interior
Most of the things we know for sure about 2021 Cadillac CT5-V are in terms of the interior design. Of course, this version will come with several upgrades. As we already mentioned, there is a manual gear shifter at the center console, which looks pretty much the same as in Camaro. Moreover, there are also three new buttons at the lower center console, probably for traction control and similar things.

As we are talking about a hi-performance model, it seems logical to see upgraded, sporty bucket seats. Also, there is a new steering wheel which besides new shape, also features a good-old red 12 o’clock line, which was a pretty common thing in old race cars. Also, we presume that the new version will also come with a variety of exclusive standard features, though the details are still unavailable.
Release Date and Price
The new 2021 Cadillac CT5-V is still in development but the latest reports suggest it should hit the market this year. When it comes to the price, details are still unavailable.
