All fans of the Chevy products are happy to hear official announcement about their favorite van. It will be 2018 Chevrolet Express. With capacity of 15 passengers, this model is excellent for long trips. This vehicle received excellent reviews and critics. It is comfortable and reliable. Also, new van is going to use less fuel, which makes it more attractive. Infotainment and safety are on higher level, and with them overall comfort and impression about Chevy Express.
2018 Chevrolet Express engine
Although we have confirmation about new van, we still don’t know which engine it is going to use. According to rumors, there are three options. Most likely drivetrain for 2018 Chevrolet Express is 5.3-l V-8 engine. This unit is capable to produce 310 hp through 4-speed automatic gearbox. Furthermore, 4.8-l powertrain, or 6.0-l engine could take position on the 2500-series of 2018 Chevrolet Express. Finally, third van in the lineup, an Express 3500 has its own unit. That is a 6.6-l turbo-diesel V-8 with output of 260 hp and 525 lb-ft. Also, this trim could get 6.0-l V-8 engine with 6-speed automatic transmission. Same gearbox connects wheels and engine on 2500 model.

As you could read, there will be three levels on the new van. So, except 1500, 2500 and 3500 units on the engine options, new 2018 Chevrolet Express will have two trims. These are LS and LT. So, first one comes with standard features, such as air-conditioning and stereo system. The LT gets few more options. For example, there are plusher seats and upgraded climate control. Side curtain air bags are coming on both trims.

Comparing to predecessors, 2018 Chevrolet Express is coming visibly different. At first sight, it is notable that front of the van is not the same. There are new bumper and headlights. The 1500 version can take again 9 passengers, while top of the class 3500 van accommodates 15 persons. Safety is improved with lane departure warning and stability controls. Beside more airbags, we can find grip control on 2018 Express. There are few rivals offering similar features to consumers. Chevy will battle Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ford Econoline. I’ve heard gm plans on useing nissan for its base on the new van. Bad idea. If I or the general public wanted a foreign van we would buy a foreign van and believe me there are a lot better vehicles out there better than gm
Why does Chev offer a 6 cyl in their WORK truck that carries loads, but can’t pffer a 6 cyl in a full size van that carries people and air.
