As you probably know, company presented a new concept in January, which will come to market as 2018 Buick Avista, according to latest reports. This is something completely new from Buick. It is a luxury 2+2 coupe, which is expected to play important role on the market, when it comes to luxury cars. Recently shown concept was very well accepted and it is expected that the same case will be with production model. We still don’t known details about new model. However, it is pretty much for sure that there will be some differences between concept and production, which is pretty much usual. What exactly will be different we still don’t know, but we expect to find out in near future.
2018 Buick Avista redesign
The 2018 Buick Avista will be a completely new model from GM. It will be based on the recently shown concept. So, we expect to see pretty much the same base design. New model will come in coupe body style. However, there is also possibility to see a convertible variant in the future. Concept model came in 2+2 seating configuration, and we expect that production model will continue in the same way. Main characteristic of 2018 Avista will be luxury. It will be luxurious in all aspects. When it is about exterior look, there is a beautiful combination of classic and modern elements.
2018 Buick Avista styling
The look of 2018 Buick Avista should be amazing. Recently presented concept came with amazing combination of classic and modern design solutions. Compared to current models from brand’s lineup, this model features much different look, and we expect that many of these details will be part of brand’s new design language. There are plenty of beautiful details. For example, you will find a beautifully shaped vertical air-intakes on a front bumper. Grille is wider and flatter, while headlights are much slimmer than we used from Buick. Glass surfaces are very small. The 2018 Buick Avista comes with 20-inch wheels, large exhaust pipes, many 3D printed surfaces etc.
2018 Buick Avista engine
The 2018 Buick Avista will feature a GM’s new 3.0 liter V6 engine with around 400 horsepower, which promises great performances. Concept model features an 8-speed automatic transmission but we hope that production model will have manual transmission in offer too.
2018 Buick Avista release date
According to some reports, 2018 Buick Avista could come somewhere in the second half of next year. It is still hard to make prediction about price.

When i first talked to the representative for Buick they said they had no plans for production now They’re going to build it cool!!! Call it the Riviera
I have a 1991 Buick Rivera and have been waiting for Buick two door automobile. Let’s hope this happens before I have to get rid of my 1991. I don’t want anything else so lets hope its coming out. It is getting hard to get parts for repair. I have had nothing but Buicks and would like to keep it that way. That is coming from a Buick Rivera lover. Please don’t disappoint me.
When I first left my response, I forgot to mention that I would love to have the Avista.
A nice white one with blue interior. I am 81 years old and want a 2 door coupe badly. I WILL TAKE THE AVISTA.
Looks so great. Will it come out as a right hand drive with a v8
Right-hand-drive versions of Buick sold in Britain and Australia as Vauxhalls and Holdens. It is still not certain if there will be right hand drive Avista.
When I saw the Avista in the mags a couple of years ago I said to myself “This is going to be my next new car.” I was sorry to hear that they decided not to bring it to market. I just read that it is scheduled for the second half of 2018. This is great news. I like coups. I had a Jaguar & a CLS but I will be happy to get a US car. I hope so much that it will be very close to the concept at least on the outside. I will not get it if the only interior is black. Would it be too much to ask for a wooden steering wheel and trim? Waiting for summer
It’s about time—-I fell in love with the concept car when I first saw it and thought this car is a cross between a BMW and a Porsche! I’ve always wanted a sports car so when I go to get on this will be the one—I’ll wait it out.
Thanks Buick—I knew you could do it!
One more thing—Keep the name although they can’t define it—vista has also long been used (like view and outlook) to mean a mental scan of the future and believe me—this car will definitely give you a mental scan of the future!
