The current generation of the legendary sedan has been around since 2017 and if we consider the model’s typical five-year production cycle, there is a lot of reason to expect a full redesign for the 2023 Honda Accord. At this point, the officials are still quiet but we have no doubt that the Japanese manufacturer will stick to the tradition. The all-new Civic has just been released, so the next year should be reserved for the Accord, as well as for the company’s best-seller, CR-V.
At this point, the details are still unavailable but we presume that the new generation won’t bring anything radical. The current model still looks fresh and competitive, so there is no need for any significant changes. Still, that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing improvements in various aspects, starting from aesthetics, ride quality, powertrain etc.
We believe that the next-generation 2023 Honda Accord could debut in the second half of the next year.

2023 Honda Accord Redesign
As we’ve just mentioned, the 2023 Honda Accord will probably get a full redesign. Still, we don’t expect to see any radical changes. Simply, the current generation is still considered a class-leader (along with Camry), so we are pretty sure that Honda won’t change something that works well. The current generation is a well-rounded vehicle, which is strong in various points, such as powertrain, ride quality, interior space etc. So, what we expect to see is a slight improvement in every one of these areas.
Naturally, the styling will be all-new, but even this aspect should bring mostly evolutionary changes. We presume that some of the inspiration will be taken from the new Civic, though the overall layout will probably remain the same. Even the dimensions shouldn’t change a lot, especially if we consider that the current model already offers one of the most spacious cabins in the segment.
Interior
As we’ve just mentioned, the current model already features one of the most spacious cabins in the class. Both rows are generous with legroom and accommodate adults with ease. So, we expect nothing less from the all-new 2023 Honda Accord. Of course, we expect that the Japanese manufacturer will stick to the tradition and that the driving position will continue to be excellent, on a sporty side. Also, the current model features nearly 17 cubic feet in the truck, and we expect a similar rating in the new model.

On the other hand, the dashboard design will be all new. The current model looks nice and offers plenty of quality. So, the new generation will continue in the same way, with small but nice improvements regarding materials, build quality etc. Also, we count on lots of new tech features, including a new infotainment system, larger screen and similar things. Lots of new safety features are expected as well.
2023 Honda Accord Engines
When it comes to the powertrain, the 2023 Honda Accord shouldn’t bring surprises. The base model should carry on with a familiar 1.5-liter turbo-four. This engine current delivers 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque and comes in pair with a CVT transmission. We presume that the new generation could bring a few more horsepowers, though we have to say that the current model already offers pretty good performance. This engine also offers great fuel economy, as the current model returns around 30 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway.
Of course, we also count on a bigger 2.0-liter turbo-four in the offer. This engine currently features a max output of 252 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque. This engine will continue with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

What About Electrification?
The outgoing model is also available in a hybrid version. It uses a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated engine in a combination with two electric motors, for a total output of 212 horsepower. Of course, the engine comes in pair with a CVT gearbox and offers pretty decent performance. The fuel economy is decent as well, considering that you can get around 48 miles per gallon.
We presume that the company will continue with this system, though with slight improvements regarding power, fuel economy etc. On the other hand, some sources also speculate about the possibility to see a plug-in hybrid powertrain on the offer. This system would be all-new, so we can’t talk about the configuration, power and other numbers.
When it comes to the all-electric Accord, we expect to see it one day, but not in the next several years.

2023 Honda Accord Release Date and Price
Although the officials are still quiet, we believe that the 2023 Honda Accord could hit the market in the second half of 2022. The price shouldn’t change significantly, at least for the base models, which currently start at around 26.000 dollars. Of course, Toyota Camry is the key competitor, but there are few other mid-size sedans in the class, such as Hyundai Sonata, Nissan Altima etc.
