2018 GMC Yukon

Another great US crossover is coming from GMC factories in 2018. All fans expect news about release date and official price list, since there are some leaked info about engines and design. From what we saw, 2018 GMC Yukon is going to be powerful SUV, with modern and aggressive design, which is made for younger population. However, these older users will find this model attractive and powerful enough to fulfill needs of many enthusiasts. If we compare upcoming vehicle to previous models, there won’t be radical changes. On the other hand, minor modifications are going to refresh the crossover and prepare it for tough battle in this segment’s battle.

Some parts highlight design of new crossover. First of all, new grille is prepared, in chrome version, and 22-inch alloy wheels are redesigned. These are first things we can spot on 2018 GMC Yukon. Ground clearance is slightly increased. With it, we can expect better off road skills and easier handling on tough terrains. Bumpers and lights are the same as before, while more lightweight materials were used for construction.

Inside the new GMC Yukon, all buyers will find many attractive features. This includes big touch-screen display, steering wheel and shift knob covered by genuine leather, and comfortable seats. Furthermore, seats are also using more leather. Also, infotainment system is improved with music players, many ways of connections and integration with Google and Apple. Safety was not on the highest level for current model, so it is expected from GMC to make significant improvements in that area.

New 2018 GMC Yukon is equipped with huge beast under the belly. Standard choice is 5.3-l natural-aspirated V8. Mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission, vehicle can develop 360 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque, which are sent to front or all wheels. There is another drivetrain being prepared for crossover. It is much stronger 6.2-l V8. This unit is paired with 8-speed auto gearbox. Total output is 420 horses and 460 lb-ft of torque. Power is distributed to all wheels. Although fuel economy is not a highlight of this crossover, new Yukon is going to improve these numbers for upcoming vehicle, comparing to previous editions.
